7th/8th Grade Dinner Etiquette Classes
The three Dinner Etiquette Classes will be held at the Worthington Hills Country Club at 920 Clubview Boulevard South, Columbus, Ohio 43235. The classes begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:45 p.m. The Dinner Etiquette Classes are designed to increase your child's proficiency in socialized dining. Classes include information about proper place settings, the correct use of silverware, conversational skills, social media/cell phone etiquette and other general table manners. Dancing will also be included in the evening's activities.
A different theme will be emphasized each week. This will give each student an opportunity to learn the proper behavior for a variety of settings and experiences they will encounter in their adult life. Instruction is under the direction of Mr. Ron Clark.
Proper attire is requested for all classes. While many places have grown to accept the "dress down" philosophy similar to "casual Friday" in the workplace, we believe that dressing for success is something that needs to be practiced from an early age. Research has proven that individuals who dress better, feel better about themselves and exude an air of confidence. By requesting students to adhere to a dress code for Cotillion, we are providing them with an opportunity to present themselves in their best light.
- Collared shirt (tucked in)
- Khakis or dress pants
- Coat or sport jacket is optional
- Skirt (knee length) and blouse
What Not to Wear:
- Flip flops or Crocs
- Athletic shoes
Looking polished and properly dressed for the formal occasion is essential! If the dress code is a true barrier for your child to be able to participate, exceptions may be made. Please contact Laurie Mottice at firstname.lastname@example.org or 614.284.4202.
The fee for the season is $110 payable with the application. There is a 20% discount offered for siblings enrolled in the 7th/8th Grade Dinner Etiquette program at the same time.
